The barn is behind St. Andrew's Church which is some way out of the actual village. The owner told us that dendrochronolgy had dated some of the aisle posts to 950 AD. As most barns were built with green oak, this means that the original structure is Saxon. The barn belonged to St. Paul's in London until this century.
