Dunster Tithe Barn is probably 16th Century but during excavations the footings of an earlier building were found on the site. It stands opposite the priory dovecote, next to the parish church. Originally part of a Benedictine Abbey, it passed to the Lutrell Family after the Dissolution of the Monasteries. It was lovingly restored through the efforts of the Friends of Dunster Tithe Barn and now serves as a community facility for this picturesque village. Details of its history and events can be found on their website.
