The great barn at Frindsbury was built in about 1403 and at 210 feet long was one of the longest in England. It had 13 full bays, but unfortunately 4 of these were destroyed in a great fire in 2005. It was in the ownership of the Church Commissioners, but has now been bought by a consortium of local business men who plan to restore it and make it the centre of a community heritage area.
