Lacock Abbey and Village belong to the the National Trust. There is a large car park for visitors just outside the village and it is worth giving yourself several hours to tour the Abbey and the village which has been used as the setting for several film and T.V. productions including Cranford. The tithe barn is 14th centruy with a central midstrey, large wagon porch and an unusual angled wall at one end. The Fox Talbot Museum and ticket office are housed in another barn by the abbey.
