Orchard Barn is a typical six bay, Kent, aisled barn. It has been beautifully converted and is now run as a Bed & Breakfast. The breakfast is excellent, home cooked, local produce and the proprietors, David and Alison are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed there for just a weekend, but could have spent longer exploring Kent. For more details, visit their website. One of the nicest things about it is that the porch and central threshing floor have been left open. We were told that the swallows return every year and the young swallows assemble on one of the tie beams for their first training flights. The photographs below are by Ray Coop, the previous owner, and show the barn before conversion.

Below is a 3D reconstruction of the frame before conversion. You will need to download the Hypercosm player to view it in your browser. If some of it blacks out when you scroll down to it, just click the refresh button on your browser.
