Wymondley Priory was founded in 1203. The barn was built by the King’s carpenter, James Needham, in 1541. It is a fine aisled barn with two gabled entrances on the farmyard side and a single one at the rear. The site still has its moat on two sides and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. The barn is now a wedding venue.
