Chelvey Court Barn

The barn, church and manor house at Chevey Court form a typical manorial complex. The barn was built in the fifteenth century. It has seven bays, three on either side of a central midstrey. The roof is supported by arch braced collar trusses, of which only two survive intact. Tie-beams were added in the nineteenth century. A mezzanine floor has been inserted and the barn is now a showroom for antiques and bedsteads.
