Isleham Priory, Cambridgeshire

Isleham Priory was a Priory Church belonging to the Benedictine Order. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry VIII it was converted into a barn.

In spite of the large door pierced in the side which you can see on the left of the picture below, the interior is fairly complete. It is now under the guardianship of English Heritage.

The key to the building is held by the key keeper a short walk away. Details are on the website.
