We came across this typical Essex barn after visiting the  Cressing Temple and Coggeshall barns.

It is a fifteenth century, timber-framed, aisled barn. Inside it has seven bays with aisles on both sides. There are two wagon entrances on each long side. Outside it has a clay-tile roof and is clad with typical Essex clapboard.

On our first visit it was being restored by the owner. The last time we saw it, it looked as though it had been let out for commercial use.
